Facilities

FBC Centre is a multipurpose facility with rooms suitable for a wide range of uses. The rooms can be booked via reception and the contact page.

The Hall

The Hall is where most of the sport and activity will take place in the FBC Centre. This is a multi purpose arena, built to Sport England requirements, and it is an ideal space for sport and community events, as well as hosting conferences, concerts and performances.

The Loft

The Loft is a light and airy room offering a wide range of uses. With a fantastic view over looking California Country Park, the Loft will be available to hire for concerts and performances, as well as sport and dance classes, youth clubs and children's activities.

Waverley Room

The Waverley Room is named after Waverley School which has been the home of Finchampstead Batist Church for the last thirteen years. This room is a multi purpose room with access to The Loft and kitchen area upstairs. It is available to hire for classes, meetings and clubs, and it can be set up to your requirements. The Waverley Room is fully equipped with plasma screen, plus a built in audio system designed for presentations or playing of music.

California Room

The California Room is a multi purpose room available to hire for classes, meetings and clubs. It's fully equiped with plasma screen and built in audio system designed for presentations and playing of music. It can be set up for a variety of different uses from a boardroom style meeting area, to a clear space for training or pilates classes.

FBC Café

The FBC Café is where you will find comfy seats, a fine view, delicious coffee and fresh home-cooked food and cakes. The menu is fairtrade, and whether you're catching up with friends, or bringing your laptop to do some work, there's something for everyone to enjoy!

The Library

Finchampstead Library is permanently based at the FBC Centre (formerly based in the mobile library by the California Ratepayer's Hall). With approximately 4000 books, CD's, cassettes and DVD's, this is a fantastic asset to the local community. The Finchampstead Library has a children's area, as well as five internet access terminals. There is also a local museum collection based in the library in conjunction with The Finchampstead Society.

Children's Centre

Finchampstead Children's Centre are based on the ground floor of the FBC Centre. As part of the Government's SURESTART programme, the Children's Centre provide a range of easily accesssible and tailored services for children under the age of six and their families. This includes health services, educational support and social care.

Open Monday to Friday and some Saturdays.

Thames Valley Police Office

Thames Valley Police Office Finchampstead and Crowthorne North Thames Valley Police are based at the FBC Centre, working alongside the Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) to resolve issues highlighted by residents and businesses. They share a ground floor office with Finchampstead Parish Council.

Finchampstead Baptist Church is a lively church made up of over 200 people of all ages and backgrounds. Our meetings are for everybody, so no matter where you’re at in your life or your spiritual journey, you’re welcome to join us.

Part of our vision as a church is to be open and to serve others. Owned by Finchampstead Baptist Church and built in partnership with Wokingham Borough Council and Finchampstead Parish Council, the FBC Centre will enable us to reach out into the wider community by providing a variety of facilities for people of all ages and backgrounds. The Centre will also house our faith-based programme of activities, including a church service on Sunday mornings.
